Privacy policy
We collect as little personal information as we reasonably can to run this site. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
PsychicRank.com (“PsychicRank”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is an independent editorial publication that reviews and ranks online psychic reading services. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at hi@psychicrank.com with any privacy question.
2. Information we collect
We try to keep this short. In practice, we collect three categories of information:
a. Information you give us directly. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name (if you include it) and the contents of your message. If you complete a contact form in the future, we receive whatever you fill in. We do not ask for - and do not want - payment information, government ID, or any sensitive personal data.
b. Information collected automatically. Like almost every website, our servers and analytics tools log standard technical data when you visit: IP address, approximate location derived from that IP (city/country level), browser and device type, the pages you viewed, the referring site, and timestamps. This helps us understand which articles are useful, diagnose errors, and protect the site from abuse.
c. Affiliate click data. When you click a link to a provider we partner with, we and the provider's tracking system record that the click came from PsychicRank and which page it came from. This is how we get credited for commissions and how we measure which reviews are useful.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies and similar identifiers. The essential ones keep the site working and remember, for example, that you have already dismissed the exit-intent popup in this session. The optional ones power our analytics (Google Analytics 4) and affiliate tracking. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
4. How we use your information
We use the information above for a narrow set of purposes:
- To operate and maintain the site, serve our pages, and keep them secure.
- To understand how readers use the site so we can improve our reviews and structure.
- To measure the performance of our editorial content, including which providers and articles readers find most helpful.
- To receive commissions from affiliate partners for purchases originating from our links.
- To respond to questions, feedback or legal requests you send us.
- To comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms of use.
5. Legal bases (UK / EU readers)
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, our legal bases for processing under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR are: (i) our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the site, and in operating a sustainable affiliate model; (ii) your consent, where required, for non-essential cookies and analytics; and (iii) compliance with legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting the cookie banner or clearing cookies in your browser.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We share information only with a small number of service providers that make the site possible:
- Our hosting and CDN provider, which stores the Site and delivers its pages to your browser.
- Google Analytics, which processes anonymised usage data on our behalf.
- Affiliate networks (such as those run by the psychic reading platforms we feature), which receive click and attribution data when you follow an affiliate link.
- Email and support tools, where you have written to us directly.
- Professional advisers (for example, lawyers or accountants) where strictly necessary, and public authorities where required by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over the information we hold about you. These generally include the right to access a copy of your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data deleted, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. UK and EU readers have these rights under the GDPR; California residents have equivalent rights under the CCPA / CPRA, including the right to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell personal information, but you can still exercise this right). To exercise any right, email hi@psychicrank.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by law, typically within 30 days.
8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Most browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal; there is no common industry standard for responding to it, so we do not interpret it as an opt-out. We do, however, honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal for California residents as an opt-out of “sale” / “sharing” of personal information.
9. Data retention
We keep analytics logs for up to 26 months, which is the Google Analytics default. Emails you send us are kept until they are no longer useful for answering your question or meeting a legal obligation, and then deleted. Affiliate click records are kept for as long as required by our partners' attribution windows (usually 30 to 90 days) and then purged.
10. International transfers
Our hosting and analytics providers may store or process information in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we rely on approved safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
11. Security
We use HTTPS across the entire site, restrict access to any system that touches personal data, and keep our software patched. No website can guarantee perfect security, but we take the obligation seriously and will notify affected users and regulators where required by law in the event of a qualifying breach.
12. Children
PsychicRank is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please email hi@psychicrank.com and we will delete it promptly.
13. Third-party sites
When you follow a link from PsychicRank to a third-party service, that service's own privacy policy and cookie practices apply - not ours. We encourage you to read the policies of any provider you sign up with before handing over personal information or payment details.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to the site, to our business, or to the law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always tell you when the current version took effect. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days.

For any privacy question, email hi@psychicrank.com. If you are in the UK or EU and believe we have mishandled your data, you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority - we would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first, though.
